The Punjab Government, led by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, plans to roll out the next phase of the CM Punjab Green Tractor Programme. This is a bold initiative in the continued modernization of farmers’ businesses and achieving increased yields. The new phase is named the “CM Punjab Green Tractor Scheme Phase 2” and will have subsidies on tractors and greatly benefit farmers across the province. The scheme has a very large budget and is another part of their vision to support the agricultural sector and improve the livelihoods of farmers.
Key Features of the Scheme
This program is going to be a game-changer for Punjab’s farmers. The government has allocated a substantial budget of PKR 30,000 million for this programme. Ultimately, the government’s goal is to promote the use of modern farm practices by enabling access to tractors for small farmers, who do not have the purchasing power at the market price. This will invariably lead to improved efficiency while saving time and physical labor. This program is determined to secure a specific number of tractors to farmers through a fair and transparent process and, one that clearly identifies and prioritizes farmers in need of assistance.

To qualify for the program, applicants must meet specific conditions. The conditions will ensure the benefits go to the farmers who deserve it and require assistance to improve methods.
